Oh-oh, Mei-Shun’s English textbook called her “d.e.b.” again. She came home after dancing with Princess Maria around teatime. A scale informed her on a half of sugar bag added to the number shown last week. In fact, she knows the reason for it; party with alcohol and dessert on Friday night, instead of morning alone. Slight cold followed toward Monday, forced her to stay indoors with no exercise.

Magical Melody?
StandardMs. Piano takes a rest on Master Mendelssohn’s “Floating Cloud” from “Songs without Words” while on “A Maiden’s Prayer” by Ms. Badarzewska. On the other hand, she sings “Golliwog’s Cakewalk” composed by Master Debussy again. It must be a lively score, yet this puppet manipulated by Mei-Shun stumbles too often to make clear steps. Or he/she might win a prize cake by his/her weird walking.
Peaceful Paws
StandardPurr, it makes me really relaxed to sleep on mom’s legs. Mom says that she feels the same to take a nap holding me here, instead of going to the bedroom alone. We used to share futon mats there, yet I stopped it for a few years since my nails easily catch towel coverings. Her choice of cushions, blankets and fluffy friends on the sofa would serve not only for my best place but also her longevity.

Dreaming Drink
StandardIt is called いい夫婦の日=Day of Good Couple today, reading 1-1-2-2 in our language. We also have 小雪=sho-setsu, 2nd of winter 二十四節気 meaning it still snows a little, while rains much by chance. Mei-Shun feels like sipping warmed sake at such a night, yet 奈良萬=nara-man from Fukushima tastes better after cooled in a freezer. She therefore would cook hot, boiling dishes for dinner.
First Feast
StandardSo this is the one Mikan-chan took as her treat, yet really was Shin and Mei-Shun’s. The new microwave oven served well to grill a big piece of one-night dried 糸撚鯛=ito-yori-tai, sea bream. The wife is not good at using advanced machines for which guidebook reading is indispensable, yet made an effort. By the way, it was felt like smelling a bit fishy when she cooked toast this morning.
Oven Opposite
StandardShin generously purchased a new microwave for Mei-Shun. They chose together above on internet, replaced older one. It was the eldest and last among their kitchen appliances from marriage, worked for longer than amazing 27 years. And oh, they have been all wrong where to put it and a rice cooker: the former is to be on the upper shelf, while the latter on the lower.
Home on Holiday
StandardIt is really by chance for Ms. Piano to see Mr. O again today, removing Kyoto 蕎麦猪口 couple from her lid. When Mei-Shun received a phone call from him, only the latest Culture Day was convenient. However, Shin is careless enough these days to fill his schedule book on our holidays — he went out early in the morning as usual. Only difference from weekdays is that he drove by himself.
Fair Face
StandardHi again, Princess Maria. Listen, Ms. Piano at Mei-Shun’s home would be cared soon. Rain prevented her from dancing with you today, while that novel coronavirus did Mr. O from contacting some of his clients. Oh, it seems to stop, yet club field is full of little puddles in horseshoes size. Now Ms. Last One, shall we go there? Please do not throw this mom onto the ground, since she is made of sugar.
Cube Castella
StandardHere are gifts from Nagasaki, where Shin visited on business the other day. Since Mei-Shun’s cupboard is full of tasty sweets right now, he did not mean to get such a big box. “However, they pressed it into my taxi, no chance to say no.” Oh, they not only look cute but also give nice serving size. It is your wife who says thanks, while bringing some to Master Bando today.
Buzz & Beep
StandardWe have a full moon tonight. 大安=tai-an, the best day among 六曜. And power outage before noon that Mei-Shun has already been informed on. Construction cars arrived around 10 : 30 in warm sunlight, started to replace electrical wire. A fixed telephone stopped soon, 20-min. blackout. However, nothing woke up after 30 minutes passed. She went down to see mom-in-law who asked “what is a breaker”?
