Drip, Drip

Mei-Shun found them at an edge of curtain rail bracket in Shin’s study. It was last Thursday, snowed in the morning followed by rainfall in the afternoon. She heard something regular, took it as coming from outdoors and opened shutters. Stayed there for a while, confirmed it stopped, she went back to the kitchen — what a blunder! After dark, it started again to let her recognize the cold reality. All wet the wall, floor, cabinet and a chocolate box she prepared for today.

First Snow

We are in November, aren’t we? Somebody in the sky should have made a mistake, pushing buttons for a snowfall to bring white Christmas. Meow, everyone would be happy if the same come one month later. It started around 7:00 when dad finished preparation to leave. He told mom who were also ready to drive him to the station, “stay home today, I’ll use mom’s car”. I agree with him, because Aladdin is murmuring that he was hungry. Please go ahead, mom, to feed him. I’ll stay a good girl here.

Wild Life

Oh, Tora-chan, you really are. This morning, Mei-Shun saw her jump around the garden staring at something small. It was a mice — looked so cute, yet it depends. She also catches sparrows and lizards, scolded by mom-in-law. Well, it seems the latter is wrong. We deprived Tora-chan of her motherhood, made her our garden cat. That means half a stray cat she is … Oh, oh, and you climb up our backyard gingko again? Mikan-chan reigns upstairs and indoors. Please do not breach this rule, honey.

Pebbled Foot

Thank you so much, Dr. I. She is Mei-Shun’s home dermatologist. She shaved her left sole to pick up a kernel out of a corn. Mei-Shun actually had two, with bigger one grown up to give her a sense of discomfort. “Here it is,” said Dr. I showing it in light yellow. Oh, what a big one! She means, as a rolled-up skin ball around 5mm in diameter. It is so weird to have such a vegetable in you, isn’t it?

Moon Watches

Typhoon VII, or Chanthu roared over Kanto area around midnight. One thing for Mei-Shun is that she tends to catch a slight cold by failure in air conditioning while typhoons go by. They bring heavy rain and sultriness which force her to be shut up indoors all day long. She knows artificially cooled bedroom is the worst for health, yet it is the best after bath. Ms. Full Moon, great to see you. Please tell her what to do when she misses you in thick clouds.

Tatami Moon

She appeared from under a fan. It is amazing how quick our new tatami mats change their color — just weeks have passed since they replaced our older ones. Juliet asked Romeo no to swear by the “inconstant” moon that monthly changes in her circled orbit. Well, so she does even under our feet, dear lovers.

3rd Renewal?

Now our dishwasher is set after a long wait. They told us that a gas fitter for the hobs would come around 15 : 00, yet he appeared one hour earlier. Well, no problem. We satisfied with his job, precise and speedy. Just before he left, Shin gave his wife a message to recommend a trial operation of the dishwasher. Mei-Shun tried and — oh no, it never starts! She asked the gas fitter for a help, while our contact personnel visited for a check at the same time.

Wait a Minute

Please let Mei-Shun talk a bit more about her teeth. According to Dr. M’s explanation, any covering except for metals could be cracked if pressed by natural teeth. Occlusion strength does not matter. Therefore, in order to solve Mei-Shun’s problem, another treatment is required to prevent her lower molar from touching its upper counterpart. The former, after shocked twice, must be shaven more to make a slight, indispensable space. Then, the 3rd ceramics would come on it, looking quite better than zirconia.

3rd Tooth

… has come to cover Mei-Shun’s molar of the lower left jaw. Yes, the third one. It seems her occlusion is too powerful to accommodate ceramics. The first one came into a soft candy, a bit sticky one, which she chewed. The second one had been safe for just a week before it was found broken when she got up in a morning. Dr. M therefore chose a zirconia to replace the latter, saying so sorry. Well, the only wish for the patient is that her choice would be the last.

Tooth Again

Two tablets of chewing gum with xylitol after every meal is recommended for your healthy teeth. However, when Mei-Shun followed this advice, she felt a metal covering on a tooth of her lower right jaw moved upward a little. And Dr. M, her home dentist, found it really did. Now is another chance to replace it by ceramic one. Shin’s approval? Of course he gave her.
