We have 夏至=geshi, the 4th of summer 二十四節気 today. It also means the longest daytime of the year, yet hardly recognized because of rainy season in our country. Ms. Piano, are your keys all right in such humid air? Clouds seem to stop covering the sky tonight. So could you join Mei-Shun to praise moonlight with great scores composed by Masters Debussy and Beethoven?

There They

Standard

ARE, that Mei-Shun knew well. When she drove to a storage space almost a month before, 2 pieces of futon coverings were all lost. However, they were easily found behind a baggage she put last time. Hi, shy baby dinosaurs, great to see you again. And apple trees with a few fruits left for winter birds maybe, still stays folded in a package waiting to be opened.

Tokyo Tour: 1

Rainy season was finally declared today in Kanto Area; 7 days later than average, 3 days compared to 2020. Shin and Mei-Shun therefore drove to 吉祥寺 on the last sunny weekend for shopping at a famous outdoor clothes shop. His size is not always available among makers of our country, while American one nicely bigger and fashionable. May she join with this cotton-hemp shirt?

Criminal Call?

Standard

Mei-Shun received a message from a credit card company. Her phone fixed at home is ever set to reply by automatic voice, in order to avoid fraud. She therefore asked Shin later if someone contacted him regarding above matter. His answer was yes, with advice to call them back. As a result, her recent shopping via internet resembled a method of wrongdoers. A sigh of relief and gratitude!

Sagittarius Served

… kindly for the last date of May on Monday this year. Mei-Shun likes such an arrangement which juxtaposes a month with the next in a week. And it is by chance the  day when both of her mother and Master Bando take inoculations for that novel coronavirus. On the other hand, months closed by Fridays give her relaxed weekends at the beginning of months follow.

Fantastic Photo

Thank you so much, Professor M or Shimaneko-sensei. Yes, Mei-Shun anticipated a “supermoon” and total eclipse of it tonight. Princess Maria and Ms. Last One, are you interested in it? Please listen, there seems to be less people outdoors in daytime. That might be because many of them prepared to observe this natural, yet incredible  phenomenon.

Call Clair

We have 小満=shoman, the 2nd of summer 二十四節気 today. It means rainy season in Okinawa connected with next 芒種=boshu, while this week saw 梅雨の走り full of humidity and dark clouds around here. Now Ms. Piano, could you join Mei-Shun to sing moonlight scores composed by Masters Beethoven and Debussy? She saw the 3rd crescent last week, yet that was the only chance so far to see that beauty.

Rainbow Revoir

Standard

Stormy weather nearly prevented Mei-Shun from visiting a hair salon nearby Tokyo Station yesterday. Since Ms. Scarlet is under repair, Shin’s car descended from beloved father of his wife helped her to get on a train. She dropped in a department store after a haircut, purchased some plates for dinner. Then an e-mail message came from him asking where she was. Yes, let’s go home together.

Cherry Change

Standard

Oh, how lovely fruits your branches are full of! Shin and Mei-Shun visited 乙戸沼 Park together after almost half an year. They missed 八重桜=yae-sakura, petal-layered cherry blossom here, yet could greet children of that beauty. It might be the biggest difference between above breed and 染井吉野. The latter is so artificial that has no pistils for reproduction.

Today is Showa Day, named after a late emperor who represented an era Mei-Shun was born. Good rainfall continues from early morning. How do you take it, recent all-dry 2 weeks around here? Mei-Shun does as a kind of relief, hearing exultation song from everybody in our garden including Ms. Scarlet. Ms. Piano, shall we sing moonlight scores in order to ask clear sky tomorrow?
