Professor S. kindly gave Mei-Shun an invitation to a sale held at 平和島, Tokyo. The latter heard of this event from the former who is always in chic jackets, so much interested in. Her first experience was accompanied by Shin that allowed his wife to enjoy nice view of colorful foliage along 隅田川 River. Approaching the goal, she found 大井競馬場 and stared expecting a glance at a lovely horsey, yet saw nothing.
thanks
Bow-wows, Meows
StandardFebruary 22nd sounds meow-meow-meow to us Japanese cat fanciers, while January 11th 3-time bow-wow for dog lovers. So it seemed to Mei-Shun that today must be pets’ day. However, it is just called いい夫婦の日=married couples’ day to say thank you to each other. Well, nothing to complain — expression of gratitude is the most important for good relationship.
Persimmon Art
StandardDr. K kindly sent a box of beautiful 富有柿 to Mei-Shun the other day. She was very happy while a bit surprised, e-mailed him to show her appreciation. He immediately replied that above persimmons are from his birthplace 岐阜. His remote relatives living there own an orchid, began to enclose these beautiful leaves and a leaflet in fruit boxes following his wife’s advice.
Happy Practice
StandardAfter seeing Mr. O the other day, Ms. Piano sings brightly in “Nausicaä” while stumbles in “Merry-go-round of Life” despite what title means. It is 100% caused by the poor player — not by this beautiful musical instrument, let alone the popular composer. Mei-Shun received “Yes” phone call from Dr. A on weekend, that helps her concentration to stop wondering any more.
After 2Y + 30Wks
StandardDr. A gave Mei-Shun a superficial check on her body by palpation before saying “no problem” as usual, one of the happiest words for her ex-inpatient. It relieved her so much because she drew the worst omikuji at the nearest shrine in the morning. She had another of half-lucky on behalf of Shin, bound it with hers on a branch of 南天 or Nandina domestica to ask protection of Gods.
Good Job
StandardMom-in-law is really good at sewing. She came up to Mei-Shun this morning in a new dressing gown, which the latter had seen somewhere else. Oh, it was Shin’s summer shirt. Nice color and pleasant feel of it might have stirred her capacity. Her eyes catch every rare information at home as well. Thanks to them, her daughter-in-law recognized that a light on the roof floor has been turned on — for weeks!
Charming Friends
StandardHi, Mr. Vanilla, great to see you again after 2 weeks. Mei-Shun missed you so much during 6-day rainfall followed by a severe storm. Gentle boy, thank you for being always careful not to bite her breast while chewing her air-bag vest. Good evening, Madoka-chan, how’s it getting along? Look at the seventh-day crescent, graceful and looks like your ears.
Her Umbrella
StandardMeow-meow. Tora-chan, we hear you, yet where are you? Mom-in-law makes geranium bush and cactus arrangement beside the front door, where it sounds like coming from. Oh, there you are. You used to take shelter from raindrops under our olive branches which suddenly became full of green worms this summer. Thank you for staying so far as a guard of Fuku-chan’s grave.
After Harvest
StandardThey have grown green again. Several 彼岸花 or 曼珠沙華, red spider lilies trim current rice paddy. According to Shin, those dried bunches of rice were for growers themselves. Such care is too high-maintenance to serve for mass consumption. Oh, regarding newly harvested rice, Mei-Shun received some the other day from a police officer who was involved in a traffic safety campaign.
Happy Birthday
Standardto you, Mikan-chan. You always give mom Mei-Shun great pleasure; your sweet voice soothes her mind, your shining green eyes are beautiful enough to let her feel just satisfied. What shall she and Shin do to celebrate this precious day? They would like to serve your favorite jelly every day, yet do not know how to cook it pH-controlled. Please stay with us for long in 一病息災=ichibyo-sokusai, one disease would keep you healthy.
