Here is new pair of sneakers. Thank you so much, Shin. They say red underwear called 申赤 (=saru -aka, meaning monkey red) brings good fortune in 申年. “Saru” leads to “去る” in the same pronunciation, meaning to go away, expected for bad fortune. Well, Mei-Shun has some while loves red shoes as well.

Tooth Again

Standard

Two tablets of chewing gum with xylitol after every meal is recommended for your healthy teeth. However, when Mei-Shun followed this advice, she felt a metal covering on a tooth of her lower right jaw moved upward a little. And Dr. M, her home dentist, found it really did. Now is another chance to replace it by ceramic one. Shin’s approval? Of course he gave her.

Dandelion Fluff

Standard

One of green necklace pods has been found growing it. So cute is this puffball on a long and slender stalk, isn’t it? Each seeds will fly away with one strong message to prosper anywhere. Oh, it reminds Mei-Shun of Dr. A, not a message recorded but saying “Yes” on a phone call at Sunday night.

Crasher Clouts

Standard

How shocking it is to see her glasses broken! A metal frame for drying clothes suddenly fell on Mei-Shun. This is the 2nd time — they always protect her eyes sacrificing one of themselves. Thanks and sorry, kind twins. “You didn’t get any hurt, did you?” said Shin first when his wife informed on the misfortune.

Irish Soldier

Standard

He is so gentle that unskillful riders including Mei-Shun would be accepted. He never gets angry even if another horse approaches from behind too much. Only cacophony of airplane engines could make him frightened a little. Thanks to him and beautiful cherry blossom, Mei-Shun seems being relieved gradually from trauma made when she fell from Dreamer.

16-Year Work

Standard

Our dishwasher seems broken. It won’t turn on since last Wednesday — actually it sometimes does, yet never starts. Well, it is 清明=seimei today, the 5th of 二十四節気. Refreshing southeastern wind is said to blow, while it changed from warm-southern one to cold-eastern. Time of amendment might have come.

Quiet Rain

Standard

It was freezing this morning, representing 三寒四温 of this season with a drizzle in which nobody except for Mei-Shun uses umbrellas in her family. Oh, Tora-chan, you are kind enough to follow her to the garbage collection point. Please keep yourself dry under the eaves.

Fragrant Daphne

Standard

She reminds Mei-Shun of her hospitalization last year — mom-in-law brought a little bouquet. When you cut garden flowers, they lose much energy and wilt immediately. We therefore make it a rule to keep them on the ground. Even so, sometimes a breach is imperative to help isolated family member enjoy one of her favorite.

Good Guys

Standard

Ms. I, Mei-Shun’s favorite instructor in horseback riding, gave a phone call. Yes, she misses you and lovely horses so much so far — the red eye has prevented her from attending the classes. Now that it’s 95% healed, she hopes to see them on coming Friday.

Happy Home

Standard

Mei-Shun planned to apply for her passport renewal on coming March 3. It seemed nice to make the date of issue set on one of her happiest ones. However, she has to cancel that procedure since her left eye would take longer than 3 days to heal. Another candidate is March 23 when Mikan-chan exulted seeing her mom again after 4-week wait last year.
