Scent of Arabia

Standard

Please take the most profound gratefulness of Mei-Shun, Professor S. This bottle accommodates a perfume from the Sultanate of Oman, called “tarha” meaning a bride’s veil in Arabic. Three respectful professors of the University of Tsukuba kindly held a birthday party for Mei-Shun last Saturday; January 13th on the lunar calendar. The same restaurant they met last year served two glasses of beer instead of wine.

The answer was “Yes”. Thank you so much, Dr. A. She gave Mei-Shun a phone call around 14 : 00, maybe immediately after she met all outpatients. Such attitude is to be really admired — patients always feel like walking on a narrow bridge. Actually, that is not only for patients: normal, healthy people are on the same place as well. The latter just do not recognize it.

Oh, Marilyn

Standard

Not that famous actress, a lovely horse girl. She is honest in lessons, patient enough to carry such an unskillful rider as Mei-Shun. On the other hand, she is so charming and friendly, a little bit mischievous once leaving the ground. Yes, we know you do not like to be squeezed by a saddle belt. Please stop yawning 8 times after that.

Freezing Morning

Standard

Our Aladdin stove starved last night. Mei-Shun found it just after taking a bath, set the timer to let him start at 5:00. She wished it worked for left 10 minutes, yet he denied to. It might be the coldest morning of this winter — still in the dark, our gas range made a good job to warm the room while serving us hot tea, soup and lemonade.

Mei-Shun met Dr. A for the first time this year. Your “no problem” comment always gives a great relief, thank you so much. Today, Mei-Shun asked question regarding her allergic symptoms. Dr. A answered it is a bit out of the category she majors in. That means Mei-Shun’s disease had not been related to allergy. Another sigh of relief.

Better Rider?

Standard

It has taken 2 weeks for Mei-Shun to come back to horses: a slight cold prevented her from attending lessons. Her current class is for beginners, called “Basic B”. Today Ms. I, Mei-Shun’s favorite instructor, recommended her to go up to “Basic A”. That means she would make a small graduation soon. Thanks to carrots, she wonders.

At the Year-end

Standard

2015 might be one of the most tumultuous years for Mei-Shun. She is grateful to her family and friends whose warm hands always support her. She wishes, or rather promises, to serve them the same someday. Please just take her love now and, 良いお年を!

Wish you a happy new year!
