Very Merry

Standard

A little earlier Christmas gift has come to Mei-Shun. 2 weeks before, Shin’s doctor found his blood in terrible conditions. It might be caused by a cancer, he said. Today’s second, closer examination has resulted in “the reason is not clear, yet no cancer”. So, anyway, we’ve got rid of the worst.

Mei-Shun has prepared Oseibo, an year-end gift, for Master Mei-Shu. As to Japanese traditional lessons including 茶道, 華道, 書道 and 舞 of course, students are supposed to bring Ochugen (=a summer gift) and oseibo to their masters, aside from monthly lesson fees. Some people let cash play the role of such gifts, yet Mei-Shun prefers sweets-sake combination, loved so much by Mr. and Mrs. Master.

Christmas is Coming

Standard

This lovely piece of work by Kaori-san, illustrator Ms. KOGASHIWA, arrived from Kyoto. A gift to herself, Mei-Shun feels very happy. Shin also likes it, advising her to arrange a covering glass for good quality preservation. You are right. We wish you a Merry Christmas!

Aladdin Arrived!

Standard

Not the guy getting along with the magical lamp, our new stove. Aladdin has been delivered, started to work hard. Regarding coldness as the worst for Mikan-chan, we rushed to the net shopping—weather forecast said that it would be the coldest today. And it is. Ohhh, how nice to come to warm-upped living room in the morning …

Image of Yourself

Mei-Shun received a DVD of her latest stage. She hesitated to see her own image last year, yet all different today – immediately open the package and sit down in front of the display. Maybe the spirit of shishi helped her for further practice and training. She found out much to be improved in her techniques. Thanks, darling.

Another Kimono

Standard

Master Mei-Shu gave Mei-Shun a kimono again. The latter feels so happy, yet aren’t you too generous, Master? When asked so, she smiled and said that the one was too long for her. Dark blue, doubled with dark red inside. How cool it is! Thank you very much.

Thanksgiving Coffee

Standard

Our party of Japanese dance is called “Ka-Shu no Kai” (after the previous name of Master Mei-Shu), from which two grand daughters of the Master and Mei-Shun performed in 邦楽発表会 this year. Mrs. S, a member of Ka-Shu no Kai, kindly sent us cute bouquets. Full of gratefulness, Mei-Shun picked up her and Master Mei-Shu to a nice café. It is very rare to see us enjoy chatting not in kimono.

What a miracle

Tora-chan’s first collar has been found out: it was hung on a hedge of nearby factory. When Mei-Shun passed by, the name tug made of a rhinestone glittered in the morning light, as if it had called her. Somebody kind enough pick it up? Wow, thanks a lot.
