Mei-Shun recently devised a fascinating menu. She cooks salad almost every day for Shin, using oil and spice left on the bottom of a bowl as sauce for rice with mixed grains. One day an idea came to her — it is like another salad or fried rice. Here is a bag of easy powder for the latter. How would it work when spread with sesame oil on rice? Well, a new arrival of めし泥棒, she can never stop chopsticks!
Finger Fatigue
StandardTV news featured a lady soon reaching 100 years old this morning. She played well the 1st movement of “Moonlight” and “For Elise” composed by Master Beethoven. These are in repertoire of Mei-Shun who has approximately half the age of above grandma. Ms. Piano, do you understand why neither of them play the 3rd movement of the former piece again?
Garden Guardian
Hi, Tora-chan, thanks to help mom-in-law. It seems the best to take care of greens and flowers today, with a bit too much warmth last week while returned to normal after 清明=seimei, the 5th of spring 二十四節気 on Sunday. Why are you two moving just like each other? And you sweet tabby, please say hello to the Ys when you enter their space full of grown butterbur.
Lower Legs!
StandardMei-Shun finally saw a DVD of her performance last year as 白拍子花子: it took her 4 months to be courageous enough. Oh-oh, she makes too much bending and extending in knees to look stable — please stop jumping around the stage. More shocking is that she almost stands still showing her back and obi sash to audience, even if she meant to turn head to the left with shoulder going down toward the floor.
Better Bed
Meow, it rains from early morning today. Mr. Blue never worked last week nor an air conditioner where mice with black wings lived several years before. However, coldness suddenly came back to make me feel a bit tired. I would like mom to hold me on her legs for as long as possible. My friends including Mr. Minion, Jun-jun and Relaxing teddy also help for my comfortable naps.

Icy Interest
In our country, “ice cream” has 15% or more milk solid including 8% or more fat. 10% of the former while 3% of the latter for “ice milk”. Well then, it might be better to choose milk rather than cream when you are involved in weight control like Mei-Shun. However, there is no difference in calories of さくら=sakura, cherry blossom flavor and 桜小豆=sakura azuki, sweet red-bean added.
Glorious Green
Our fiscal 2021 starts from today, meaning year end of 2020 yesterday. Mademoiselle Vert seems to know it, greeted Mei-Shun with her first kissing bud in the morning. Thanks a lot, honey, you are so clever that waited for the best timing to bloom. Or did Momo-chan contact you to hand an eye-comforting batten? “Yes mom, great to see you, dad and Mikan-chan again.”

StandardPlease take Mei-Shun’s deepest appreciation again, kind followers. She saw 399 of you minutes before — 398 yesterday. Lead by March or the 3rd month, she has actually meant to catch 383 and 393. However, you were too quick and generous to accept this little site. And well, 3 says “than” in our language while 9 “kyou”. That might be the reason why she made above mistakes.
Ibis Infants
They are called, Toki-no-ko from Niigata Prefecture wrapped in bluish green paper following below. Shin and Mei-Shun love such sweet balls made of white-bean jam and chocolate. Similar to 銀のすず or silver bells, shape of bird eggs has another type; little orbs of cake including かもめの玉子 and 雷鳥のたまご, while with chocolat-coating as well.
Happy Home
We would see a full moon tonight, with 3 days left for current month. Mei-Shun takes it a kind of lucky, since these are ones February in 丑 never has. With all the same arrangement starting from Monday, one fourth of 2021 would elapse soon. She seems to have got used to her new weeks made of kabuki dance, horsey riding and Ms. Piano beside Shin and Mikan-chan of course.
