We have 冬至=toji, the 4th of winter 二十四節気 today. That means the longest night in northern hemisphere, makes Mei-Shun rush to western window at dusk to see Jupiter and Saturn float side by side. There they are, yet quite difficult to recognize the further latter, who finds himself a bit too close to the former. And oh, Princess Cymby finally opened 3 flowers; one on the top, 2 just next to each other.
Purr, it is warm indoors. Mom is also happy seeing Princess Cymby and Mademoiselle Vert; the former has two flower buds growing little by little, while the latter one. She cleaned 2 vases today as well, one of them a gift from dad. Time flies, fragrant lilies have gone. Carnations joined roses in a hanger. Backyard gingko tree took off a golden coat, left her some to pick up again.

Mei-Shun went to see Dr. M for artificial Ame-chan, who looked hurt inside 2 weeks before. This sad patient was prescribed antibiotics to take at 3 serial nights, had no pain in mouth but in mind. Now her home dentist declared no problem, suggesting to watch it every 4 months of regular check-up. Oh, beautiful 3rd crescent floats in dark blue sky, attended by Jupiter and Saturn.
… be the best as winter gift to Master Bando? She is the person of the year for Mei-Shun: kindly lead the latter toward kabuki dance again. They are still involved in 京鹿子娘道成寺, yet in a bit different way after recent stage. 恋の手習い was dedicated to beloved Master Mei-Shu, while 花のほかには松ばかり=”only pine trees other than cherry” would be in Bando Ryu style.
Lunar November starts from today. Mei-Shun meant to walk to the nearest shrine to greet Gods with the last 朔日 prayer of 2020 — yet oh, how stormy it has become! That immediately made her choose playing moonlight-related scores on Ms. Piano while cleaning of eastern verandah. Yes cleaning, rather than picking up those gingko leaves fallen on the floor.
20 pieces a day to dry
Two weeks have already passed since Mei-Shun received a gorgeous bouquet from Shin on the stage. She learned how to enjoy it for longer: draw roses from a vase before they get too tired. Hangers are ready to dry them outdoors, while fragrant and snow-white lilies stay indoors with fresh water. They gently have made bedroom of above couple full of sweet aroma.
Ms. Piano, did you miss Mei-Shun a bit for these past two months? Her attention sometimes wondered even during practice on you, since she had been easy to be lead by 白拍子花子 into kabuki dance in brain. Now Spanish also came back onto her desk, though nobody knows if the test “Evaluación del Conocimiento de la Lengua Española” be safely held next summer.
Mei-Shun has a heavy stomach in the morning when she eats late at previous night, precisely much carbo after 18 : 00. With no appetite, she takes only a cup of hot milk for breakfast. However, assaulted by greater desire for food around noon, she would be forced to cook twice as much as she normally does. Full-up mouth covets no more, fruits and nuts are enough to cover her supper.
Mom stays home all day today, purr. She takes care of dad first, then me next. Well, it is all right. I know she really wants to let me have priority over him, yet suppresses such emotion to keep her big boy happy. Now he’s gone, my turn’s come to relax on her legs … meow? Where is she? Ah, in eastern verandah to pick up yellow leaves. Some were thrown onto the ground, others collected into a molehill.

… it is today, after Mei-Shun performed precious role of 白拍子花子 on a stage. When she asked if Master Bando gives other lessons within 2020, the latter lady replied “yes, as usual”. On the other hand, beloved Master Mei-Shu used to wrap them up in November. Both ideas seem proper; one master takes 邦楽発表会 a special event, while the other a kind of workout.
Shin’s bouquet drinks much to bloom more.
