2023 is said to have seen a long, hottest-ever summer at least in our country. Winter has come, yet quite later compared to before. Mei-Shun’s brain focused so much on it that she almost forgot to set ornaments including above. Weather affected her weight as well, brought amazing loss from August to October. One bag of sugar returned these days, yet gives no problem.
This is the last day in 2023 for me and mom to visit “Arles”, purr. A bit rainy under sky full of clouds, we got on Ms. Scarlet. 95% trees lining main streets in Tsukuba already took off colorful coats: only 5% keep still beautiful bright-to-dark red. I prefer such weather which make us sleepy, to freezing one eyes wide open. Here are delicacies we won including a macaron of my flavor or 福来みかん.

The former has just one flat leading to 2 sharps, while the latter from no character to 3 sharps. She somehow remembers both melodies, yet not quite clear. Mei-Shun visited a credit union to change used bills into new ones. It is normal for many of us adults to prepare them as お年玉, New Year’s allowance to children. She quite likes this custom, yet more and more financial institutions refrain from above service. By the way, nephews and a niece of Shin and his wife are all grown up; 3 of them are university students, other 2 already working.
We have 大雪=tai-setsu, the 3rd of winter 二十四節気 today. It is said to bring snowfalls in northeastern part of our country, while the 1st ice formation in southwest. However, the latter saw nearly 20 degrees Celsius — Mei-Shun is wondering what is going on. And on you, Princess Cymby. Are you really a prince?
