Mei-Shun received 番付表 of sumo wrestling held in Osaka from 12th via Shin the other day. He is not so much a fan of this sport, yet kindly joined a group to support nearby 二所ノ関 stable for his wife. Oh, one of them re-entered 十両 rank where her favorite 力士 belongs at the top. By the way, her tall friends living also in stables gave a bit dance today.
Meow, solar March starts from today. According to mom’s diary, 2023 has lunar February twice. One 朔日 was on 20th of last month, while the other would be on coming 22nd or my day, purr. That might mean we have 2 other chances to celebrate St. Valentine’s Day. However, what we are eager to give dad is not chocolates but places to work safely with no cedar pollen.

Welcome back from the U.S., Shin. He took no day off, went out by Mr. Diamond this morning. Mei-Shun followed him on Ms. Scarlet after a few hours to see Dr. M, her home dentist. Empty place of late Ame-chan almost recovered from a hole. However, a little problem was found there: an awfully black spot was seen in a photo. It is not decayed yet, requires intensive care.
So this is the last day of current month for Mei-Shun to see horseies. As Mikan-chan kindly mentioned before, she could keep healthy enough to attend all reserved lessons. Rain, snow and gale prevented her from doing it twice, yet other Mondays, one Wednesday and Thursdays made it. See you again next month, on similar schedule to 4-week February in 卯年.
Mei-Shun, who lately resumed practice of “Life is Merry-go-round” on Ms. Piano, was not on that fun-fair equipment featuring horseies but on a train to Tokyo Station today. A bit cloudy sky still accommodates clear views of Ushiku Pond, a cup noodle maker’s chimney and Skytree as usual. After having a haircut, she enjoyed the first walk toward the end of Joban Line platform.
Purr, yesterday was for my breed when dad flew to the United States. His time went back to the same 2.22 while mom and I celebrate birthday of current emperor Naruhito today. They say it is for Mt. Fuji as well, reading 2-2-3 in her mother tongue. We do not know which mom-in-law living downstairs cares more, yet are always thankful to her cooking お赤飯=red-bean rice.

Oh, what a gale it blows today! Mei-Shun still found ume plum buds growing in quieter morning, thanking a next-door neighbor who kindly cut big branches around above tree of chimerical flowers. This spring might see normal 三寒四温, 3 cold days before 4 warm ones. Solar February had a snowfall on the 2nd weekend, all dry through 3rd until sleet last night.
Lunar February starts from today. Mei-Shun visited the nearest shrine in mind, while in body her horsey-riding club. One in the morning, the other in the afternoon with cute boys respectively. Their lunch time gave her 30 minutes to look for nice items around the counter. Oh, here are yokan or sweetened red-bean jam sticks accompanied by a tiny omikuji lot.
Meow, mom finally made a pie featuring one of my cousins and tequila. With the intention of consuming a bit elder condensed milk by it, she chose less cakes at “Arles” on Wednesday. She also bought a cheese cake mix for crust, rather than recommended graham cracker. Left filling powder was simply made into mousse, above green citrus fruit sliced within.

Mei-Shun enjoyed a trot lesson with Mr. Danone Caesar and Princess Maria today. Normal place for the latter lady is a wood nearby, yet the rider took wet carpet of fallen leaves perilous after sleet and snow last week. On the contrary, dry and dusty field surface changed into soft sand — the most suitable for their legs. Now finished trimming your white coat, she would go home to get on a scale.
