Powerful Typhoon Nanmadol or No. 14 in 2022 made amazing 4 landfalls; 1st on 鹿児島=Kagoshima, 2nd 福岡=Fukuoka, 3rd 島根=Shimane and the last 新潟=Niigata this morning. Born nearby 小笠原=Ogasawara in Tokyo, it came from southern Kyushu to the north, did similar from western Honshu to the east. Mei-Shun is forced to stay home all day long; studying, cleaning, practicing 松の緑 and playing Ms. Piano.
Meow, Respect-for-the-Aged Day of 2022 is the same to my birthday. Does it mean me of 19 years old on 19th by chance? At least mom never takes it so. Yuko-san, one of Mei-Shun’s best friends since high school, kindly sent the latter a brilliant gift. Preserved roses greeting from a tiny white piano are in a transparent box. Here is your little sister, Ms. Piano. Now you are full of pink items including her, a face-cloth used as Mikan-chan’s cushion on Ms. Scarlet, dried roses for Shin and a big cotton scarf from Professor M.
Purr, this is the day for me and mom to visit Arles, our favorite pâtisserie in Tsukuba. A bit cloudy and dry, it is the best for her to clean and wash. Please do not do too much, you have reservations at the horsey riding club tomorrow. I’m always happy to accompany you, asking my tall friends to stay gentle. And it is your duty to look healthy in a web camera for dad.

Mei-Shun watched TV before going out for horsey riding this afternoon. She would like to cheer via satellite her favorite sumo wrestler who is still in 幕下 rank. Thanks to his good winning, she felt better and got on Ms. Scarlet. Actually, she was a bit too tired yesterday to prepare for dancing with Ms. Manifest. Well, even if it ended up in smoke, a scale allowed her to have some chocolates at night.
Mei-Shun saw Dr. A for a half-an-year check today. There were many outpatients at the hospital, forced her to make a queue for every procedures. Ah, next week has two of our national holidays including Respect-for-the-Aged Day, that might be why. A room to take blood samples were full of elder people. They are lively enough to come here, while most of inpatients are not.
Here is Mei-Shun’s new vacuum cleaner. Named “Ms. Harp” from her color and shape, she would be the best partner for above owner to clean carpets and wooden floor. Oh, how light you are in main body while normal tube and head. Please say hello to Ms. Piano. You two are among Tora-chan’s four kittens who live with a couple in Tsukuba — oops, Piano was a boy.
萩=hagi, Japanese bush clover in our garden began to bloom. Yes, it represents current season getting cooler day bay day. While Mei-Shun stays outdoors with horseies, wind gives gentler touch on her cheeks after 15 : 00 even under sunlight. And we have 重陽の節句, chrysanthemum festival today before 仲秋の名月, the best full moon tomorrow. Now is night tea time for her who saw nice numbers on a scale again.
We have 白露=hakuro, the 3rd of autumnal 二十四節気 today. 白 means white and 露 drop, while the latter fell down on mom-in-law’s table this morning upset her so much. When she made a phone call to Mei-Shun, it was 5 : 00 that her daughter-in-law jumped up from a futon mat wondering something occurred to Shin. None of his numbers shown! A sigh of relief.
Mei-Shun enjoyed another bottle of German beer on Saturday. Their menu explains Master Goethe liked this dark, sweet one. It matches assorted cheese, fruits and vegetables rather than meat plates (just her impression of course(^^). By the way Shin, who nicely drove her to above restaurant, flew to China for business taking at least 2 weeks after 10-day quarantine.
