We Love Kyoto

Standard

Kaori-san, please take our gratitude. You gave us another chance to come to this beautiful, ancient capital of Japan. Current rate of yen, however, might make our regular hotel here booked out — that is why we enjoyed a stay at our favorite one in Osaka last night. We took a local train after a slight exercise of walking to the station one more stop away. Clouds in the sky and summer hats nicely protected us from ultraviolet rays.

Grown Up

Standard

Hello, sweet birdies. You just look like mom! Mei-Shun missed your fluffy baby days — still cute enough you are, of course. Stormy weather of today might prevent you from flying away. Great to see you stay here. Oh, you keep yellow parts beside beaks to call mom. Where is she?

Nice to See U

Hello, Madoka-chan. Please make sure of Mei-Shun as one of your fostered mothers. We would start from walking together to washing place where we treat, prepare and release your harness. You have to learn first to stay calm here. Oh, do not say to go home after 5 minutes. Let’s make your patience longer little by little, while this mom make her preparation time shorter.

Lady Madoka

Standard

Actually she has “battle” before this lovely name. Here in this club Mei-Shun belongs to, nobody would add it — no need for you, darling, a dark-brown and slender girl with a diamond star on the forehead. Mei-Shun decided to join a team to train Madoka-chan. Ms. I is our leader. This program is called “new comer training”, taking half a year to teach horses how to follow, communicate and get along with human beings for the first hand. It would start from June 1st.

Fiscal Year-end

Standard

Mei-Shun received renewed passport on Sunday. The date of issue was expected to be on March 30th — she left the hospital on this day last year. However, it seemed taking one more day. March 31st is actually the birthday of Professor M, one of her most respected friends. Well, on this point of view, March has a lot of happiness for Mei-Shun who has spring in name.

Gi-ya-man

Standard

It means glasses in Japanese, coming from “diamant” in Dutch. He is a lovely boy with a pinch of mischievous flavor. An upside-down v letter appears when we part his mane hair on the forehead. Honey, did you leave another v somewhere in the field? Normal stars are in round or diamond shape, much more you have the very name of the latter.

Swallow Mom

Welcome back to us! Yes, this is your favorite place to nest — a restroom of a supermarket. We all know it, looked forward to seeing you again. Oh, your round, black eyes of obsidian beads. Sorry to interrupt you, Mei-Shun would stop taking a photo. Please feel safe to continue your sitting on eggs.

Lone Beauty

Standard

Mei-Shun met her on the way back home. She comes out alone from a green hedge, looking for friends who share such a feeling, it seems. She has changed from yesterday — light pink shade replaced yellow of the day before. Now we cannot wait to see her new dress tomorrow, put on after rain.

Kyoto Again

Standard

Kaori-san, an illustrator and good high-school classmate of Mei-Shun, will hold her second exhibition in June at Merry-go-round Kyoto, the same venue as her first one. Congratulations and thanks — November gave us a shock of long queue for taxi last time. Our driver was kind enough to teach how to avoid waiting, which would not have to work for June.
