Mei-Shun’s goal in horse riding is dressage. A horse and his/her rider would cooperate with each other to make beautiful performance, that seems to resemble dancing. In Japanese dance, performer is fundamentally alone on the stage. On the other hand, dressage requires good communication between a horse and a human being in the field. Therefore, the more she practices with kind horseys, the more she might be interested in 連舞=tsure-mai, meaning Pas de deux or Duet.
friendship
e. o. m.
StandardMaria, a snow-white girl in quarter breed gave Mei-Shun a beautiful gift: a promotion. It has taken a whole year for her to go two steps up, might be a slow doer. No problem, the most important is to enjoy. Technique learning would follow after she finds her own way to communicate well with that glorious animal. And another reward of effort nicely arrived: a little loss in weight. Her eating a day consists of ample breakfast, lunch and light supper. Sweets are not allowed while a teaspoon of honey, dried/fresh fruits are.
Showered Out
StandardMei-Shun walked around 乙戸沼 of three fourth, nearly finished when it started raining. She rushed into her car, never likes to get wet or rather prefers umbrellas. Her family is in direct opposition: even in a quite heavy rainfall, they look all the same as going into the sunlight. Do you belong to their side, Tora-chan? You are too kind to welcome Mei-Shun at parking space in rainy mornings when she drives back home. Stay under the roof as Mikan-chan does.
Good Friends
StandardOne year has passed since Shin brought his wife to the horse-riding club. At first, just seeing horseies satisfied her. Their kindness to let her ride on gave the happiest entertainment. Now getting used to it, she wants more: she would like to be friends with that beautiful animal. She has only admired them so far, allowed them to do as they like. However, it might not be the right attitude toward her partners. On an equal footing, a horse and a human being should combine with each other to create great performances.
Another Half
StandardThank you so much, Mr. and Mrs. F. They are friendly owners of parking space we rent for guests. Tall and gray-haired Mr. F appears in person to bring summer gift to us, always greets touching his hat while small and gentle Mrs. F does for winter. Oh, please stop bowing so much. The former told Mei-Shun in June to give new rice, and really did today. Speaking of which, she found all rice harvested on walking way the other day. Does it mean she has used their private lane between paddies for free?
Smart Girls
StandardTora-chan jumped over cat gates again. It is a matter to be scolded, yet she stayed several steps backward this time. She has learned not to reach the second floor. Her touching attitude reminds Mei-Shun of Fuku-chan, mom-in-law’s late pug girl. Her lovely eyes and amicable character changed Mei-Shun’s feeling toward dogs with flat faces. She slept at lower landing of our stairs when mom-in-law left her alone at night, asking if she was allowed to be there by those 2 round beads.
Corolla!
StandardMadoka-chan remembers Mei-Shun as her “refreshment mom”, asks treats every time when the latter approaches her stall. Sure, here’s horse cookies today. You will see an apple, your favorite on Wednesday. R. mom heard that you are too thin in the back to let us ride. We therefore plan to serve rich foods to you. Now, shall we go to the dressing space? Wishing your forelock were a bit bushier, r. mom chose this browband. Oh, how cute you look with it!
Piano Day
StandardYes, this season has come. Ms. Piano saw Mr. O. It seems to be on the hottest day every year, so Mei-Shun makes efforts to serve them the best environment as much as possible. Taking just an hour, he tuned keys, cleaned up metal bars under the lid. Ms. Piano looked friendly to him, stayed a good girl through a range of process. He never makes you feel hurt, honey. Mei-Shun envies not only your serenity but also equanimity.
Terra Cotta
StandardMei-Shun sees a flowerpot sit alone at a door of the Us on the way in walking. Looking nice in the morning sunshine, while not alone sometimes — a cat relaxes next to it. Hi, do they keep you? May she name you Raco-chan after your artifact friend? You put a grey jacket on a white shirt. That combination resembles Kuro-chan, who never let Mei-Shun approach within a 5-foot circle in diameter around him/her. Such atmosphere you have as well.
Shall We?
StandardMei-Shun started piano lesson at the age of 5. That seems why she loves music, headed by classical ones. She belonged to a brass band club in her junior high school days, playing the horn while Shin did as well by chance as a tuba player. Today, a letter from Professor K of Nihon University, one of Mei-Shun’s respectful benefactors, told her that he takes lessons for alto saxophone these days. Now, who would follow us next?
