Cool Bath?

Standard

The other day, Mei-Shun had a narrow escape in home bathroom. When she stirred bathtub with a pail, she found it too cold to go into –thanks to her custom to wash herself before relaxation in warm water. It seems a kind of manner, that Shin totally agrees as well. He took a nap while his wife enjoyed wide public bath at 竹泉荘, so used a tiny shower and bathtub space within their room before bathing in balcony.

Garden Cat

Meow, I am. However, mom often lets me in these days to sleep on her sofa. Of course she does, it is mine. Hi, sister Mei-Shun comes down. I always greet her with the best smile, purr. Her only fault is that she sometimes steps on my tail before giving me a treat, hiss! Please be more careful. What, your ironing board has a hole on the covering? Mom would be kind enough to repair it.

Can U C?

Standard

This is amazingly made from rice porridge, makes it easier to clean the inner pot of our rice cooker. Mei-Shun knows it edible, yet has never tried. Well, もったいない=mottai-nai, save-energy mind seems quite important. She agrees to the idea, while prefers tasty foods. Even if this tiny snail comes out of cabbage, she never think of boiling it with a pinch of salt.

Chop, Chop

Standard

Our new laundry machine works so hard that it totally fractured a name card the other day. Mei-Shun doesn’t know WHO put it in a breast pocket, while found fine pieces of paper spread on clothes in dark colors. How sticky they were, took her half an hour to remove all. And hey, you did it again this morning! She has to put a wet-floppy parking ticket on his desk as a proof.

Autumn Appetite

Standard

Here is 芋ケンピ= deep-fried and sugar-coated sweet potato. Mei-Shun enjoys it by various makers, continues to compare one with another. This time they are processed in Kumamoto, where one of her favorite mascots Kuma-mon comes from. Not so sweet, makes her try more. What a temptation, when she would like to put off 2 bags of sugar within this year!

Uneven Magic

Standard

Shin’s shed to keep apparatuses for car maintenance has been filled up with used papers. Our autonomy group collects them in every 2 months to contribute to children welfare. However, when it rains in the morning, no truck comes to pick them up. All right, we would call private business who gives following rewards, while prefer more sophisticated technology.

Never Sleep

Standard

… in the rain, right? When Mei-Shun brought a newspaper to mom-in-law this morning, she found Tora-chan sleeping on the bed. Although our garden cat, she sometimes occupies comfortable places for her “mom” including a wisteria-vine chair covered with fluffy cloth, a silk cushion and the bed of course while sheets are in the washer. Oh, please go ahead, no greeting is required.

Dear Friend

Standard

Oh-oh, hi. How are you? The other day when Mei-Shun tried to close a shutter, Mikan-chan was sleeping aside. She therefore went out on the balcony where something fluffy stayed at the bottom of window. Reaching her hands, she found it move onto the wall, crawling toward the edge. Little batty, say thanks to the baby cat who avoid her mom to touch and frighten you.

敬老の日, Respect-for-Elderly Day is set on the 3rd Monday of September. Mei-Shun bought a bouquet for mom-in-law with one of her favorite autumn flower 吾亦紅. We can see them at sunny mountainside or highland including 草津 where her mom stays once a month. She always tells her younger daughter that they are easy to grow in the garden, yet has never heard her success.
