Mei-Shun froze when she found her marriage ring has no diamond. She recognized it was not so stable on a hole of platinum from a few years before, yet might be too optimistic. Actually, Shin also lost his sapphire a decade ago. Now that both of the couple let their respective stones start on a journey, they must choose another design aiming at their silver wedding anniversary.
Merry Christmas
Just Arigato
StandardShin and Mei-Shun share their 24th wedding anniversary today. Looking forward to adding silver on the top of it next year maybe, the husband gave a cool necklace to the wife as his first gift. And this “rouge pink” bouquet followed around tea time. Oh, she always does not know how to express her gratitude, love and bewildering toward such … generosity? Could you please tell mom the best word, Mikan-chan?
Japanese Culture@holiday
StandardWe have the last of Emperor’s Birthday yesterday: our current emperor Akihito is set to abdicate next year. So would December 23rd be Heisei Day, like Showa Day (April 29th) was changed from the previous emperor Hirohito’s birthday? Anyway, that is why we share Christmas Eve and a happy Monday today. Shall we eat out like many young couples do, or stay at home, Shin?
Princess Cymby
StandardGreat to see you again, Your Highness. Your advent is to celebrate Christmas with Shin and Mei-Shun, isn’t it? Since divided your tangled roots, she thought you would take a few more years to bloom. You kindly encouraged her to recover from the disease she had approx. 4 years before. Health and prosperity is sincerely wished for yourself of course, and may our days be merry and bright.
Munch On
StandardOne week has passed since artificial, removable Ame-chan arrived in Mei-Shun’s mouth. She works quite well, helps her owner masticate anything: sticky foods like baguettes (baked yesterday) and rice cakes are tasty for the latter, yet dangerous enough to require heavy chewing. Only one fault of the former is that foods easily come into a narrow space between a soft denture base and natural molars.
Candy Comes
Standard… soon toward Mei-Shun’s upper left jaw. Yes, a kind of Christmas gift from Shin. She met Dr. M, her first home dentist today to replace late Ame-chan by an artificial one. Since they do not make it by themselves but just order, shape and size were measured with cold gum stuff, pressed onto the space where that milky girl lived before. Be brave, it never hurts. Simply takes 3 minutes keeping patient’s mouth open to dry.
Already?
StandardThey seem to prepare for Christmas, New-year Day and even St. Valentine’s Day. Shin and Mei-Shun drove to a park to see 霞ヶ浦, Kasumigaura lake on weekend, found them lit up in trial. Well, it might not be too soon because White Christmas, the wife’s favorite rose, beautifully blooms in her mother’s garden. Could you give some comment, Mr. Watermill, looking your partner windmill there?
Coffee, Please
StandardLast time when Mei-Shun visited a hair saloon by 5-minute walk from home, a cup and saucer was served. Soooo cute as usual, makes her happy to see. Some of her friends do not like dots pattern, while is quite fond of by herself. Such red and small round shapes remind of holly fruits to represent merry Christmas, don’t they? At least this tree in our backyard would agree on the idea.
Teddy Body
StandardPurr, I like mom’s new jacket. She has another one in ivory white, shorter sleeves. And much smaller, I’m not interested in sleeping under it. Meow, I must watch her not to go out leaving me alone. Since yesterday was one of her busiest, I kept a good girl as a help. Didn’t I, mom? If you think so, treat me as much as possible please. Let me take a nap in this until you do the same later with me. Purr … purrr …

Merry Christmas
StandardSo this is it. Christmas Day is very special for Shin and Mei-Shun, their wedding anniversary. Since the best is to dine at home, the latter is quite busy. All the more this year because new-year greeting cards are due by today to reach on January 1st, 2018. She wrote them up by 14 : 00 o’clock, drove to the nearest post office before going shopping. Now she has to start — oh, you have already come!
