Thank you so much, Shin. He gave Mei-Shun gorgeous gifts for Mother’s Day; lovely honey bottles and mead, the latter made in Poland. The husband well knows that his wife is a honey lover. His choice also might be affected by the fact that both of them like Polish tableware. Its impressive colors including dark blue, bright yellow and soft white of the ground all fascinate them.

Morning Moon

Mei-Shun has been practicing to sing “Clair de Lune” with Ms. Piano on a new score. She manages to play it correctly, while still has to do twice at the top of next pages. Such an act breaks a flow of music, encourages her to memorize all masses of notes. Oh, a white figure in pink and blue sky, would you agree with her? It is great to get up with you for around a week after your perfect form.

Greeting Green

Meow, I’m on the 2nd flower of Mademoiselle Vert. Since a stalk stretches below, it was not easy to go as usual — opening both arms first. I therefore tried one before the other, then loosened lips. Mom seemed a bit worried about it, yet please do not. Look at the 3rd who would follow soon in a similar way, just next to me. Here I am, finally fit in the normal shape. Purr … purrr …

Thanks a lot, Master 二所ノ関. His stable sent Mei-Shun a piece of 番付表, a ranking list of sumo wrestlers for coming 五月場所. As shown above, only elite rikishi are in readable size of kanji. Her favorite finally joined there again, taking 5 basho. She is happy to prepare an early-summer kimono, plans to put it on celebrating 初日=sho-nichi, the 1st day of match on Sunday.

Rainy, Airy

Shin kindly brought Mei-Shun, who 90% recovered from a sore throat after almost a whole month, to a German restaurant on weekend. They always serve this couple; fine plates to the husband, season-best beer to the wife sharing superb dishes with him of course. Hmm, simmered pork with dried apricot is really delicious. And a rare bottle here, brewed in our country makes amazing combination with it.

Graceful Green

Hi, mom and dad. I’m back to you on Mademoiselle Vert again this morning. Perhaps I would stay longer than on Princess Cymby, let’s enjoy our time together with me in another flower shape. Oh, mom’s favorite sweets from たねや; 柏餅=kashiwa-mochi and 粽=chimaki arrived, while お赤飯=oseki-han cooked by Tora-chan’s mom. Shall we have a little party? Purr … purrr …

Dentist Day

Standard

Yes, Mei-Shun postponed an appointment with Dr. M toward this morning. Although a weekday between 3rd Constitution Memorial Day and 5th Children’s Day decades before, 4th Greenery Day was set as one of our national holidays. And that might be why the former could find vacancy on the latter lady’s schedule — most people go outdoors during Golden Week.

Tea Time

Standard

Thanks a million not to darling you, but to Ms. Last One today. Almost 2 years might have passed since Mei-Shun danced with her in previous occasion. And it took nearly a whole year for this rider to remember how to canter. Now she would revise the list of classes reserved; which lesson, who is the best to improve her technique? She is pleased to think about it on a cup of 新茶.

Definite Delicacy

We have 八十八夜 today, meaning 88 days have passed since 立春=risshun, the 1st of 二十四節気. It is also the best timing to harvest 1st green tea leaves. Mei-Shun therefore means to drop in a shop before picking Shin up at the nearest station. The wife craves 雁金=karigane (green tea including leaf veins) and 玄米茶=genmai-cha (the same with puffed rice) using a discount ticket delivered to loyal customers.

Sunshine Scent

Solar May starts from Monday. It seems cool to Mei-Shun who coughs quite less than last month, feeling better thanks to Dr. W. The latter lady taught “puffing” to the former patient: a skillful way to cough out foreign objects from your respiratory tract. So please do not mind if one of your moms sometimes says “pa-pa”, Princess Maria. She never takes Your Highness as her father.
