Mei-Shun decided to see her home dentist Dr. M today. She actually had a part of swollen gum at the bottom of artificial Ame-chan, a molar on upper right jaw last Friday. If it affected her shape of cheek, she should have made an immediate appointment. Fortunately or unfortunately, it stayed within mouth giving no pain, yet with pus formed on the surface.
Contrary Couple
StandardSo the last month of 2020 starts. Mr. Blue has been ready from the end of November to warm Shin, Mei-Shun and Mikan-chan, going ahead toward the coldest season in our country. The wife is a winter lover — one of the reasons might be that she was born in January, when cedars already begin to scatter pollen. It tortures the husband whose birthday is June 6th.

StandardHere a bushclover in our garden follows, going to yellow from green under Momo-chan already undressed. And backyard gingko finally started to do the same, perhaps helped by cold rain on Wednesday. Since the latter turns to a golden coat quite later than other trees, it makes Mei-Shun accept the fact that beautiful autumn would go soon. Ms. Piano, which do you prefer, Masters Debussy or Chopin tonight?
Depends on Diet
StandardMeow, mom looks delighted after checking numbers on a scale. She makes it a rule to weigh herself with an empty stomach and good perspiration from horsey riding. Are you kind followers interested in mine? It is not weight but a place to take a nap which I care. Mom has to hold me on her legs first, then I squeeze onto warmed-up sofa. Oh, Mr. Kura-maru, please do not occupy my bed.

Last Lesson
Standard… it is in 2020 given by gentle Master Bando to Mei-Shun today. The latter is cordially grateful to kindness and ardent instruction from the former lady so far, for intensive one and a half month. She has already decided to come back to 白拍子花子, one of the prettiest and the most difficult roles in kabuki dance. Hopefully on another stage after vaccination and specific medicines are firmly established for COVID-19.
Which First?
StandardMademoiselle Vert and Princess Cymby both have flower buds now, makes Mei-Shun feel really pleased who missed the latter last year. Drinking a lot of water, they seem to compete with each other. So time goes ahead toward winter as the big gingko tree in the garden of 日先神社 took off a beautiful golden coat, put it on the ground to make a gorgeous carpet.

StandardYesterday was 1122, called “good married couple’s day” reading these numbers in Japanese yi-yi-fu-fu. Mei-Shun contacted members of 紫苑会, group of Aster tataricus named after their high school, including Kaori-san. Her exhibition weeks held so far in Kyoto have covered this date, let Shin and Mei-Shun go on a happy one-night trip to there to see above artist and her husband Mr. M.

StandardMeow, dad declared to resume weight control. He went on a business trip to Toyama the other day, brought home one of mom’s favorite sweets called 銀杏餅. Written in Chinese letters, they have taken it as icho-mochi so far. However, this wrapping paper taught them that it is ginnan-mochi. Either will be all right, just enjoy giving all left to mom.

Dark Danger
StandardMs. Piano, sorry to beat you last night with nails grown a bit too much. It is said cutting them at night prevents us from seeing parents pass away. Just a superstition of course, yet Mei-Shun agrees on such a suggestion to use metal tools under bright sunlight. That might be why mom-in-law said “I’d love to, yet tomorrow morning” when asked a help of sewing in the evening.
