Mei-Shun read several sites mentioning the difference between these similar desserts, found a clear answer. “Parfait” comes from French to mean a perfect dessert; layered ice cream, fruit/chocolate sauce and whipped cream with cornflakes on the top. “Sundae” used to be sold on Sundays; ice cream decorated by various toppings. Well, which would you like, or would you mind choosing one?
Coffee, Please
StandardLast time when Mei-Shun visited a hair saloon by 5-minute walk from home, a cup and saucer was served. Soooo cute as usual, makes her happy to see. Some of her friends do not like dots pattern, while is quite fond of by herself. Such red and small round shapes remind of holly fruits to represent merry Christmas, don’t they? At least this tree in our backyard would agree on the idea.

Standard敬老の日, Respect-for-Elderly Day is set on the 3rd Monday of September. Mei-Shun bought a bouquet for mom-in-law with one of her favorite autumn flower 吾亦紅. We can see them at sunny mountainside or highland including 草津 where her mom stays once a month. She always tells her younger daughter that they are easy to grow in the garden, yet has never heard her success.
Hi & Bye
StandardHere is new phone, called Mr. Chocolate by Shin and Mei-Shun. Advanced technology is seen on such a nostalgic machine as well, looks quite convenient. Happiness is sometimes accompanied by sorrow: butterfly babies have gone. Both of them were clever enough to move to another pot, yet might become easy for their predators including birds, bats or dragon flies.
Concentration Pls
StandardMom, you should not think of other matters while playing simple scores on Ms. Piano. Mistakes sound so harsh that I’m forced to run into dad’s study, hiss! … meow? It is the gecko I caught the other day, yet its tail cut left and teased me. Purr, now you are my target. Give up and let me punch you. Oh mom, you would help me covering it with both hands, won’t you?

Princess Follows
StandardHere Mei-Shun received 黄貴妃, another yellow peach Shin ordered from the same grower of 黄金桃. Clearly making a pun, the name refers to 楊貴妃=Yoki-hi, famous beauty of ancient China with above pronounced Oki-hi in Japanese. Since they were packed and sent still a bit pre-matured, several days are required until sweet scent and softness arrive.
Welcome, Butterfly
StandardOh, there you are. When Mei-Shun tried to move one of grapefruit pots to avoid strong sunlight from the west, she found something different among green leaves. It is so nice to see you grown up enough; clear to recognize your mother. And oh, not only you but another bigger! Well, it seems quite difficult to feed you both here. Why don’t one of you make a little travel to other place?
New Moon
StandardWe have 八朔=hassaku, not meaning the orange breed Mei-Shun loves but the beginning of lunar August today. It is said to be a time when we should be wary of typhoons, while an autumnal rain front would stay above us through this week. Thanks to such information, she was able to enjoy riding Maria- and Madoka-chans before it started raining hard.
Pink Messenger
StandardOur bush clover says that autumn has come. Even if the slamming typhoon left torrid air of summer for a while, we feel much cooler in the morning and at night. Mei-Shun therefore decided to resume daily exercise including perspiration outdoors. She has been getting along with her diet: 15 weeks have passed since she stepped into weight range called plumpy by herself.
Wooden Stroll
StandardHere is Mei-Shun’s list of partners to dance with; Mr. Vanilla Arc to gallop, Ms. Battle Madoka to trot, Ms. Last One for both and Ms. Maria to walk with a bit of trot. The last snow-white lady looks happy to go to our newly-built field in the woods, where we can enjoy playing “Gymkhana” not by car but on horsey. Her petite body is suitable to make a narrow turn around natural trees.
