Mei-Shun has put scores of “Habanera” and “La Cinquantaine” under her favorite “Clair de Lune” composed by Master Debussy, thanks to 3-month practice. Their melody began to flow, allowed to join others including “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” for Shin. It is perhaps eyes and fingers who learn which keys should be pressed, ears and brain memorize harmony.
Mei-Shun went to a hair salon nearby Tokyo Station today, instead of dancing with horseies. It was caused by a rainfall which always forces her to cancel or change lessons outdoors. Snow might be better if all white, yet often starts by disappointing sleet. She is made of sugar, would melt away into wet air. Service indoors was therefore chosen with 駅弁=ekiben lunch boxes brought home.
We have 啓蟄=kei-chitsu, the 3rd of spring and all 二十四節気 today. It means the end of hibernation, while seeing a cloudy and chilly weather. It might be better for such animals to wait a little — yet not Shin who returned late last night from U.S.A. Mei-Shun got up at 5 : 00 after a week, warmed bathroom downstairs, shined his shoes and prepared breakfast.
Mei-Shun visited her parents’ home after 2 months since she did with Shin during 三が日=the 1st 3 days of the New Year. This time found another family; elder sister Y who lives nearby above place, mother of M-chan. It might take 2 years for these 3 women to gather again: pandemic prevented younger daughter from regular visit. Now would you join us, dad?
Solar March starts on Friday, ends on Sunday in 2024. Mei-Shun therefore feels like still staying in previous month today. On the other hand, she would do that it is pleasant to have April, top runner of our fiscal year, begin from Monday. How does the beauty in night sky go ahead? Mei-Shun loves to cook beans. Here are her favorite 花豆=hana-mame, runner beans came from 草津 via mom. They met during New Year holidays when the latter gave her younger daughter various, dried while gorgeous agricultural products. Now one of the most important points to make it a delicacy is to soak enough, until each bean returns to volume in pods.
Good morning, Ms. 立待月. Yes, she still stays at 5 : 00; let us see her again as 居待月 tonight. It is actually the 2nd time for Mei-Shun to greet her: 1st was when she drove Ms. Scarlet at 22 : 00 yesterday to pick Shin up. Since the husband would make a business trip to U.S.A. from tomorrow, the wife is busy to pack his suitcase. It is fine for him as well, to get rid of cedar pollen.
2024 has made our “backyard” 梅=ume, plum blossom the best so far. Shin, Mikan-chan and Mei-Shun enjoy this rare tree with a chimerical branch full of pink flowers among all white. It is also nice to watch it from his study, never need to visit any parks, temples, shrines or mountains accommodating 梅 in these 2 colors. By the way, the cutest angle for above is served by — restroom window!
