Labor Thanksgiving Day takes Monday this year. It works well for us, since Shin had a business trip to Toyama on Saturday. Working Sunday sounds awful, doesn’t it? Mikan-chan looks happy as well, satisfied with warm arms of daddy.

StandardIt took two weeks for the ceramic tooth to be planted into Mei-Shun’s mouth. Her dental clinic has two rooms for treatment; one is full of that scary chairs with silver apparatuses and compound-eyed lights, the other looks like a beauty salon to serve relaxation for patients. This time, they guided her into the latter, for a simple attachment and — thanks to the amount she paid maybe.

StandardHi, honey. You feel cold today? Mom does too. Mikan-chan comes into mom’s blanket. That means it is winter-like today. When they take a nap together, she prefers to stay between mom’s legs, covered by a towel blanket in summer. As it gets cooler, she replaces the towel with a wool one, to reach their favorite futon finally in winter.

StandardMs. Piano has not heard from the musical instruments company — she must have been tuned last month. Mei-Shun cannot recognize her trouble, yet professional care of once a year is indispensable to keep her healthy. Don’t you think so, Choco-chan and Ohagi-chan?

Clever Horses
StandardThey are just great. 110 and more horses are working for a club in Ryugasaki. They work much harder than many of us; 6 days a week from 10:00 to 20:00. Rachel, the first partner of Mei-Shun, is a 17-year-old girl who has a shiny brown coat. She is kind and patient enough to follow beginners’ awkward signs to stop, walk and trot. Thanks, Ray-chan. Mikan-chan gave a permission to communicate with you. See you next week with a banana.

StandardShe made it. Our futon mats were hung in the balcony to dry. Only for a few hours, yet it satisfied Mei-Shun after rainy days of a week and more. In the afternoon, dark clouds came up to bring a shower for a while. The weather forecast says it will rain hard tomorrow. Well, it’s good for our plants. Oh, you prefer refreshed blanket, Mikan-chan.

StandardAutumn brings a happiness to Mei-Shun. As she sits on the sofa, Mikan-chan immediately comes onto her lap. Still in August, we have been enjoying cool weather from yesterday. It seems a bit too soon, yet it would be hot and humid again in a few days. Let’s make a good preparation in mind and body, baby.

StandardIn the middle of summer, we often find a fluffy Sphinx relaxing on the floor. Only different from the one in Egypt is that she continues to swing her tail listening to songs of cicadas. When they fly nearby, this creature disappears to rush toward the window.

Travel Recommendation
StandardWe visited Namari onsen (=hot spring) in Hanamaki, Iwate Prefecture this weekend. It takes 2 hours and a half from Ueno by Tohoku shinkansen (=bullet train). Our first trip to there found several ryokan (Japanese-style hotel) spread along a winding mountain path. Nicely alkalescent water and quiet environment give you a genuine relaxation.
