Pheasant, Chinese partridge and bush warbler started to sing for their lovers. Cherry trees began to loosen their buds. Mei-Shun cooked a 筍=takenoko, young bamboo by herself for the first time. She found that 乙戸沼 Park also accommodates white magnolia trees arranged like a big one full of fist-size flowers by the pond. Narcissus blooms one after another under our garden princess.
When Mei-Shun walked out of a short tunnel between rice paddy, she found a tree full of white flowers shining on the green hill which accommodates the nearest shrine. It is magnolia, still in buds. Since she started walking exercise from the end of April last year, it has not been recognized so far. She is so happy to see the roster of sacred guardians augmented again.
They are unrecognizable — which one is the last princess? A bit bigger each flower looks compared to their elder sisters. Mei-Shun feels so happy to serve for such beauty, while with a slight concern. We grew two mimosa trees in the garden, loved their fluffy flowers in light yellow. Mei-Shun Meets Princess Cymby
It is today, while Mei-Shun’s best party was held 2 years ago at the hospital she stayed. After operation, she started to eat from soup and fruit juice. As was rice porridge with 七分粥, 70% grain seen on the 5th day for lunch served with a tiny bag of ひなあられ=hina-arare, sugar-coated puffed rice. It is one of special sweets for March 3rd celebration, worked as a warm reminder of normal life. A lovely card was attached saying “we wish your prompt recovery.”
Dr. A was quick enough this time. She used to give Mei-Shun “Yes” phone calls on weekends, passing several days after 2 weeks of sample examination. Well, anyway, it is highly appreciated by the ex-inpatient. Oh, our last princess finally started to open her green-yellow dress which would turn brighter as she makes a curtsy in full bloom. Such graceful figure reminds Mei-Shun of the eldest one who kindly greeted her in buds 2 years ago, just before her operation.
I’m waiting for mom. She is preparing futon mats and blankets to take a nap with me. It has been too windy to hung them outdoors since yesterday, she complains. Ah, that’s why your horse-saddle buffer was on balcony floor. Dad is at home today, makes me feel a bit tense — I’m not used to such difference from normal environment. Mei-Shun has picked up some from countless flowers Shin gave her so far. Many opportunities including her performance on stage, their wedding anniversary at Christmas and her birthday replenish her blissful arms with gorgeous bouquets and arrangements. Middle-sized roses are relatively suitable to dry for preservation, with recent best following below in bright orange. Since they bowed immediately in spite of watering, Mei-Shun hung them in headstand position for a while.
It is a bit embarrassing to say so to yourself, while so happy to have family and friends who say so to you. Mom, thanks for your simple but heartfelt message. Shin, your surprise gift won an enormous success this year as well. Mom-in-law, your お赤飯=o-sekihan, steamed rice with red bean tastes the best. Now, let’s enjoy together Galette des Rois as Mei-Shun’s birthday cake. And oh, another flower featuring sakura from her best friend! Please take her sincere gratefulness.
So happy to see the first full moon of this year. She looks so beautiful in clear, cold air that Mei-Shun chose moonlight scores for Ms. Piano tonight. There was a little discovery: she misread a G key, wrote E for it. Since musical notes full of lines are not friendly to her eyes, she makes it a rule to use pencils for confirmation. Now she is ready to play it precisely, while make further efforts of weight control toward the end of lunar 2016 which comes in 2 weeks.

They are for horseies, longer ones attached to forefeet while shorter ones to rear. Mei-Shun ordered them via net shopping as お年玉=otosidama, meaning new-year gift for herself. She is ready to purchase such items little by little. Rental gears are available for free at our club, yet her favorite colors and designs are much better. Her dream is to own a horse in the future, at home if possible. Shin loves them as well, would be happy to take care of him/her or — them.
