乙戸沼 Park also features irises right now. They have a lot of banners stand along flower field. On the other hand, 小石川後楽園 simply hangs a poster on the front gate. A wide pond with lotuses floating on surface helps commodious sight of the former while the latter is served by a unique looks of Tokyo Dome roof. Oh, we can see the moon in daylight between artificial and natural whites in the sky.
interesting
Japanese Culture@holiday
StandardThey watered rice paddy at the beginning of this Golden Week. It seems to take a few days to calm down ground surface, because planting of young rice started from yesterday. Mei-Shun enjoys looking such process to grow our dietary staple, walking along a lane through baby greens. Oh, here comes a wild duck couple. A beautiful white egret as well, joining pheasants and swallows.
Lively Chorus
StandardHere are our tulips. They have closed petals at night, straighten toward the sky as the sun rises higher. Mei-Shun once heard that it has to grow in height and size little by little to find the sun every morning. However, nobody have seen it replace peony. It might because they have leaned their optimal looks respectively, loved by human beings.
Round, Round
Standard熱川バナナワニ園 have many greenhouses accommodating tropical fruits, flowers and the manatee boy of course. They knock Mei-Shun and Shin down with such lovely round shapes — that’s why they named him Mammal-kun. Not only for his species, mal means “round” in Japanese written 丸 or 円. Other examples include banana, coffee and papaya as well. Sorry to exclude you, star fruit, while we love your unique looks.
Rolled Up
StandardSo the end of fiscal 2016 has come. Happy birthday, Professor M. It is Friday, might make business people feel good in the right place. On the other hand, April Fool’s Day looks like a real joke this time: fiscal 2017 starts from a weekend. Oh, Mikan-chan, you neatly sit down with your tail curled around forepaws. Your interest is not in a custom of human beings but in whether mom uses a camera to see you.
Lunar March
StandardYes, it starts from today. That might be why our garden princess gave her first bloom. It is so interesting that the more distant a bud is from the trunk, the sooner it blooms. That makes her look like putting on a melon kimono from the bottom. Now it gets dark, your mother would play piano in moonlight scores to help you — we do not have it in the sky tonight.
Still Sleepy
StandardOur garden princess looks making her buds bigger and more fluffy. When you take a careful look at them, baby petals are found within silver coverings. Their color is … oh? Melon means not only a name of fruit but “bright pink”? How amazing and interesting it is to see another sense in a common word! Anyway, we are expecting her gorgeous performance in full bloom soon.
Mineral Rich
StandardIt all depends what a horsey likes as treats. Rachel likes bananas, quite rare for them. Madoka-chan, Maria, Seika, Applause and Treasure all love carrots and apples while 菊丸 and Pink Diamond prefer brown sugar. Regarding the latter, Mei-Shun once asked if they suffer decayed teeth, heard that they could. Our club employs a French dentists who visits every six months to check up horsey mouths.
Correct Movement
StandardOn piano practice, Mei-Shun found an interesting matter. Her wrists move like going on gently-sloped hills when she plays a score for finger exercise. A long tone with pedaling makes a small circle by the right wrist, in clockwise or counterclockwise directions depending on melody. When quick touch is required, wrists are fixed at a height to relieve each finger. They all occur in precise performance only.
Simmered Delicacy
StandardHere is 治部椀=jibu-wan, simmered vegetables, duck meat and 簾麩=sudare-fu, wheat gluten cake shaped like a bamboo blind dressed with thick starchy sauce served in a soup bowl. This is one of favorite dishes for Shin and Mei-Shun at a restaurant in Shinagawa, while reminds the latter of a cooking book she bought in preparation for marriage. It featured 治部煮 among ABCs of Japanese cuisine.
