Not meaning those who live there with the nationality, Mei-Shun visited her favorite dian-xin restaurant in Shinbashi today. She and Shin enjoyed a lunch course including appetizer, soup, shrimp dish, beef one, steamed rice ball, fried rice and dessert. She would not like to mention that place, in order to keep it quiet. This is therefore especially for you kind followers.

Happy to Play
StandardMei-Shun made it: she finally found piano scores which she had been looking for at a musical instruments shop! “A Maiden’s Prayer” by T. Badarzewska reminds her of long-forgotten tune by her mother who sometimes played this and Beethoven’s “For Elise”. Others include “Le Cygne” by C. C. Saint-Saëns and a best album featuring Studio Ghibli‘s animation films by J. Hisaishi.
Japanese Culture@wkday
StandardMei-Shun walked to the nearest shrine. She had few coins in the purse, was able to afford only one omikuji saying as follows:
The 14th A Little Lucky. For those who see this sacred lot, it would start from severity like digging deeply into a mountain to reach a gold mine. Just believe in the God, do the best, and they would be well rewarded.
Rice Baby
StandardIt is so nice to see them grow day by day. Mei-Shun is so happy to see many birds including this wild duck couple. Or a mother and a child, bigger one was waiting for the other slimmer flying across the lane between rice paddy to slide onto water. You finally meet, congratulations. And Ms. (or Mr.) White, nice to see you here. We cannot recognize you crouching among grown-up greens.
Eyes Wide Open
StandardMei-Shun has a bit sore throat, took medicine in the morning. It might cause this skill — just 5 millimètres from a marker between pedestrian road and parking space. Unfortunately, she know well what a shock comes on neck when a poll hit a car in rear bumper while a cacophony of scratch. It a kind of moved her that nothing like these would happen at a time of narrow escape.
After 2Y + 3Wks
StandardGreat to see this date — two years have already passed since Mei-Shun had the operation. She has never seen the carp princess after leaving the hospital, while saw many in the air at Tokyo Tower on Saturday. We would be able to see them swim lively within Golden Week, 10-day leave this year including serial weekdays on May 1st and 2nd. Mei-Shun hopes it allows her to forget a phone call from Dr. A.
Pheasants!
StandardHi, darling. Great to see you again, not just hearing from you. And greater luck fell on Mei-Shun today: she saw a couple of pheasant for the first time, just next to our club field. Guys look conspicuous with their red masks these days to find nice girls. The latter have pretty eyes yet too chic in brown polka-dot coats compared to the former. They were relaxed during lessons, while ran away when Mei-Shun got off a horsey.
Happy Reunion
StandardMei-Shun thought she lost it. Following below is her omikuji drew weeks ago at the nearest shrine, came out of upper pocket of her backpack:
The 36th Lucky. For those who see this sacred lot, it would be in a shape to end once prior to resume. Therefore, their wish would come true while better if not being in a hurry. Give honest prayer to the God, consider well before doing, and brilliant delight would be gained.
And she met that incredible carpet there again — under cherry trees.
New Friend
StandardWhen Mei-Shun walked out of a short tunnel between rice paddy, she found a tree full of white flowers shining on the green hill which accommodates the nearest shrine. It is magnolia, still in buds. Since she started walking exercise from the end of April last year, it has not been recognized so far. She is so happy to see the roster of sacred guardians augmented again.
Girls’ Day
StandardIt is today, while Mei-Shun’s best party was held 2 years ago at the hospital she stayed. After operation, she started to eat from soup and fruit juice. As was rice porridge with 七分粥, 70% grain seen on the 5th day for lunch served with a tiny bag of ひなあられ=hina-arare, sugar-coated puffed rice. It is one of special sweets for March 3rd celebration, worked as a warm reminder of normal life. A lovely card was attached saying “we wish your prompt recovery.”
