Here you are, mom, on behalf of dad. Mei-Shun’s mother has a chronic dizziness. Meeting once a month is their fixed rule, with latest visit planned on February 14th. However, a symptom interrupted and forced them to postpone the appointment. Well, you have learned how to treat yourself, look fine today. That makes your younger daughter feel relieved and happy. Let’s talk about the cute bird the latter saw the other day.
Dr. A was quick enough this time. She used to give Mei-Shun “Yes” phone calls on weekends, passing several days after 2 weeks of sample examination. Well, anyway, it is highly appreciated by the ex-inpatient. Oh, our last princess finally started to open her green-yellow dress which would turn brighter as she makes a curtsy in full bloom. Such graceful figure reminds Mei-Shun of the eldest one who kindly greeted her in buds 2 years ago, just before her operation.
It was the first time for Dr. A and Mei-Shun to meet with each other this year. The former told the latter that if today’s test results were fine, their appointment would be made every three month. How nice it sounds! The longer a patient can be relieved from memories of any disease, the smaller pressure she/he would have. And it would mean seasonal visits to a hospital — quite normal for Japanese in good health, living in a country of 春夏秋冬=spring, summer, autumn and winter.
It has started from today while winter vacation in solar calendar. As the best day to make a wish, Mei-Shun walked to the nearest shrine. Interested in her wish? Health, of course. 2016 has only three days left, she has not yet reached the goal — perhaps one and a half (or two!) bags of sugar stay all over her body. Without moonlight, with sacred protection of 大吉=the luckiest omikuji, she would pull her socks up and resume necessary efforts.
She was right. How great it is to have a “Yes” phone call from Dr. A! Mei-Shun was out when her smartphone rang, yet immediately contacted her mother and Shin to let it know. Last time, the former chided her younger daughter that she had not informed on her seeing Dr. A. Oh? She gives no details on the day; sample analysis would need at least 2 weeks. “That may be true,” she said. “But you have to understand what mothers are like. They want to keep all tabs on their children.”
It is for 2016. Mei-Shun would like to bring back her body into weight limit within this year; she has been all the time a bit behind it. Walking and workout at least 4 days a week. Well-balanced diet, refraining from sweets and alcohol as much as possible. This method to eat less, do exercise is rather standard, yet the most effective for her. Even if she choose harder way, fast for several days for example, she would get back all weight lost later — haste makes waste, they say.
Mei-Shun had a computed tomography held once an year today, on 朔日=saku-jitsu, the first date of a month in lunar calendar with a new moon at night. Thanks to the good timing of CT scanning, she was able to learn a little how to read the image from Dr. A. She said it looked fine, adding that she would give a “Yes” phone call after 2 weeks. Actually, before visiting the hospital, Mei-Shun walked to the nearby shrine and won the luckiest omikuji fortune.
… it must have been today, yet Mei-Shun had a pressing job. She therefore canceled lessons in the morning. After finishing what to do, she felt quite sore in throat. It has continued from last night actually, followed by a slight hurt. All right, how does thermometer analyze this symptom? It shows that she has a fever, a little as well. What a disappointing result! Lovely T.T., she misses you so much. However, she has to take care of herself to avoid any accident involving you.
Meow, is it? Mom rarely leaves me alone at home all day, while often does half a day. No problem. I take a nap in my beds, on the sofa, beside windows facing south. But yesterday, a cushion in the white bed put on roof floor followed me to the landing of the stairs. It sometimes does, hiss! I had to move to the red one in my cage. The latter is for nights, dried in sunlight by mom during daytime. Don’t change my routine. And you, mom, don’t forget to give me 15 minutes on your legs.

Before Happy Monday System was introduced, Health and Sports Day had been set on October 10th. In 1964, the Olympic Games held in Tokyo for the first time started on this date. They say one of the reasons for the choice is that it is a peculiar day of fair weather, called “singular day” by Japanese meteorologists. Well, if the next Tokyo Olympic hold an opening ceremony in August, would we have another holiday added onto current list?
