Petits Cactus

Standard

Ohhhh, you are so cute. This breed survives freezing winter in our garden, grows these little babies on each “leaf” around 八十八夜=hachiju-hachi-ya, 88th day after 立春 when the last frost might cover the ground, every year. You might not feel better than a few days before — it remains raining all day today, with continued cold air from yesterday. Expected 十五夜 full moon cannot see you tonight.

Lily Bell

Standard

Not of the valley though, our first one bloomed recently at the foot of Momo-chan going into green. From the beginning of solar April, our eyes have enjoyed pink represented by her of course while various cherries in public places, followed by current white including 姫空木 mother and daughter. Blue of wisteria soon, iris a little later will replace them. And rose, queen of flower would fill us with pleasure at 旧古河庭園.

Congratulations?

Willow, gingko and persimmon. It is so nice to see you become greener and greener day by day. Oh, regarding progress, Mei-Shun and Madoka-chan share happy promotion: the former would go up to gallop classes while the latter graduate from training program. Senior instructors gave formal approval to Madoka-chan, yet they did not for Mei-Shun who feels a bit worried about the next lesson …

Got Healthier

Standard

Mei-Shun brushed up Princess Cymby: she was cut in two at root which swirled and filled her previous throne. It was an exhausting labor — this lady reached through several holes at the bottom of the pot to take nutrition and water. Mei-Shun therefore had to cut them all before pulling out the whole body. Thanks a lot, Shin, for helping her breaking the balking pot.

Lively Chorus

Standard

Here are our tulips. They have closed petals at night, straighten toward the sky as the sun rises higher. Mei-Shun once heard that it has to grow in height and size little by little to find the sun every morning. However, nobody have seen it replace peony. It might because they have leaned their optimal looks respectively, loved by human beings.

Welcome Back

Standard

Mei-Shun planted 蝋梅=robai, Chimonanthus praecox babies in the garden. They are called wintersweet or Japanese allspice as well, one of her late father’s favorite flowers. Her mother loves plants while an earnest caregiver. With a garden full of memories, she has raised peach, rose, wisteria, bush clover and so on. These twins are expected to follow Princess Momo-chan.

Pheasants!

Standard

Hi, darling. Great to see you again, not just hearing from you. And greater luck fell on Mei-Shun today: she saw a couple of pheasant for the first time, just next to our club field. Guys look conspicuous with their red masks these days to find nice girls. The latter have pretty eyes yet too chic in brown polka-dot coats compared to the former. They were relaxed during lessons, while ran away when Mei-Shun got off a horsey.

Happy Birthday!

Standard

To you respectfully, Professor S. Mei-Shun is so happy to send you flowers while receive a small gift from the shop owner. It was a bouquet of sweet peas, arranged into two vases at her home. Now 染井吉野 has gone, 枝垂桜 or weeping cherry is in full blossom and 八重桜 began to bloom. The last one bloomed 80% a year before, amazing us by such an enormous difference between 2-3 degrees Celsius.

Happy Reunion

Standard

Mei-Shun thought she lost it. Following below is her omikuji drew weeks ago at the nearest shrine, came out of upper pocket of her backpack:

The 36th Lucky. For those who see this sacred lot, it would be in a shape to end once prior to resume. Therefore, their wish would come true while better if not being in a hurry. Give honest prayer to the God, consider well before doing, and brilliant delight would be gained.

And she met that incredible carpet there again — under cherry trees.

Last Princesses

Standard

It does not mean to say good-bye but hello. So she is the youngest among the Yellow Card. Her closest sister moved into a vase throne with sweet pea maids of honor. And another princess in our garden has finished her performance, gives her kimono little by little to a friend still asleep at her feet. The latter is called 姫空木=hime-utsugi, also a princess to put on white dress early in May.
