Treasure of Life

Standard

Professor S, Master Mei-Shu and mom-in-law of Mei-Shun are of an age by chance. They are always kind enough, giving visits, messages and gifts during her hospitalization. It is a genuine honor to have such great “friends”.

A Mystery

Standard

Who are you? Every year in this season, Mei-Shun hear a voice outdoors. In daytime, so are you a bird? But you sound too husky to call a good girl. Are you a frog, then? But there is no pond around here — rice paddy will be watered soon. Are you a forerunner of the chorus?? The biggest mystery is that nobody of Mei-Shun’s family recognizes your voice …

Sakura Season

Standard

The most popular breed Somei-Yoshino is over. Now wilder Yama-Sakura and gorgeous Yae-Sakura are in their last bloom. Mei-Shun prefers the former, which looks chic but is ranging from almost white to clear pink color. Some of them are so shy that we do not know they are there, behind other trees. However, their presence would be recognized by petals flying from nowhere.

Green Shells

Standard

This is our ginkgo tree in the backyard. He has grown from one seed, now nearly reaches our roof garden. One day of spring, he puts on an airy green robe. And next day, baby leaves appear on each branch, yet still curled. Day by day, they become loosen to show cute, shell-like shapes.

Find You In

Standard

Mikan-chan loves sunshine, but not too much sunbathing. Sometimes she goes out of mom’s sight – a hide-and-seek game starts! Hummm … not in the bedroom. Neither on the refrigerator or in the closet. Oh? Here you are, just in your own bed.

Busiest Week

Standard

From Tuesday, Mei-Shun has paid short but everyday visits. The last one, finished this morning, was to a nearby beauty salon. The sooner the better? Well, it made her exhausted anyway. Thanks for your sweet welcome, Tora-chan.

Flower Shopping

Standard

The owner of Mei-Shun’s favorite flower shop is always generous enough to hand her a little gift. Today’s special were these cute marigolds for our garden. We hope they are fond of this environment.

Dentist!

Standard

One of Mei-Shun’s front teeth looks browned. She felt worried about it, wondered if it might be decayed. After a glance, her home dentist said that it was just stained – 5-minute polishing solved the problem. Thanks a million, Dr. M.

Monthly Visit

Standard

Dr. A told Mei-Shun that she would like to see her every month for a while. There is no reason to say no – one month seems a good timing for a hospital “graduate” to take care of him/herself. One goal per month would be set up.

Uji-Kami Shrine

Standard

It is a custom for many Japanese to visit the nearest temple or shrine, called Uji-Kami sama. Walking route for Mei-Shun and Shin includes one. On Sunday, they found that the blessing entity has an amazingly beautiful garden of cherry trees. We are very happy if you could share the joy of this carpet.
