Last Lesson
Standard… before performance it was today. Master Mei-Shu is kind enough to encourage her student, saying “All right, well done. You are perfect”. Yes, this is the point of no return. All Mei-Shun could do is to prevent any accidents, including sickness and injury, to do her best on Sunday.
Shocking, but …
StandardMaster Mei-Shu kindly showed her Suisen-Tanzen performance of 23 years ago, commemorating Kikunoe-Ryu foundation. It was just excellent. Actually too brilliant for Mei-Shun to do the same. She found that the spear in her left hand must have looked almost sleeping so far. Such item symbolizes what the role has in mind. From now, her challenge to wake it up starts. Thank you so much, Master.
Half-baked Proficiency
StandardMei-Shun loves learning foreign languages. She has studied English for the longest time (30 years and more!) while French and Chinese follow. However, she has not reached the best positions; failed three times for Grade 1 of Eiken Test, gained Grade 3 of French and Chinese tests sponsored by our Government. She just hopes that her “hobby” would work to teach Japanese abroad in the future.
We Love Horses
StandardShin recommended Mei-Shun to take a trial lesson of horseback riding. She is so happy to see that clever animal, which many fanciers are unable to own. Reserved date is September 4th. All right, a good goal for her diet. The lighter she is, the more they would like her.
After 14 Wks
StandardSigh of relief again. This is the 4th visit to the hospital to see Dr. A after Mei-Shun left there. However, another sigh is for her plan of diet, which miserably failed so far. It is awful. Obesity is a kind of disease. All the same for the plump, or even worse because they tend to take themselves still approved to be healthy. Such an idea already looks unhealthy, doesn’t it?

Once in Three Years
StandardMei-Shun went to Tokyo for a lecture and test to keep a certificate necessary in her job. And today has the summer solstice, yet dark clouds prevented us from seeing the latest sunset of this year. As always, we have to say — it comes in the middle of rainy season. A little bit lonely.
Hard to Follow
StandardMei-Shun started to practice “Salut d’Amour” by E. Elgar at Shin’s request. We found this title on the net by chance, as “Gymnopédie“. It sounds sweet and clear, so a simple score has been expected. However, it carries four sharps! Mei-Shun has no perfect pitch. It would take a time to play smoothly …
After 10 Wks
StandardSo happy to hear from Dr. A that Mei-Shun has no problem in the blood, either. The scar is getting smaller thanks to a “magic” tape, which actually works with steroidal agent. Further efforts (including diet!) would lead to better conditions. July 10th is set for the target to lose X kg.
Monthly Visit
StandardDr. A told Mei-Shun that she would like to see her every month for a while. There is no reason to say no – one month seems a good timing for a hospital “graduate” to take care of him/herself. One goal per month would be set up.
