She made it. A qualified instructor checked up whether Mei-Shun has gained enough techniques to promote. Thanks to you, Curly Prince, her last partner in “Basic B” classes. His coat is so fluffy in winter that he rarely recognize her aids by the legs, though.
Month: January 2016
Oooops!
StandardWhile Mei-Shun was enjoying lunch, something strange suddenly joined foods in her mouth. It was a piece of metal, covered the hindmost tooth of the upper right jaw. Oh, again, she thought — it happened last year before the one replaced by a ceramic tooth in autumn. She has to see Dr. M immediately.
Happy Queen?
StandardOur favorite pâtisserie “Arles” serves the best Galette des Rois. We have made it the birthday cake for Mei-Shun since 2012. And it was she who won the fève clearly this year, while she shared it with Shin last year. Oh? Honey, do you celebrate mom, posing with her crown on the table?
First Snow
StandardIt is freezing today. Our Aladdin stove works full from early in the morning to become short of fuel soon. After driving Shin to the station, Mei-Shun started working at the desk. When she looked up, white, fine icy pieces were found falling from the sky! Quiet rain has turned into the first snow of this winter, so subtle that immediately melt on the ground.

StandardThis is Mei-Shun’s second 2016 omikuji.
第四十四番 吉 The 44th Lucky
For those who see this sacred lot, lucky and unlucky matters share their existence as go game has black and white stones on the board. Take good care of other people while making efforts for yourselves. Everything would be better in the future. The sooner the better, no delay for profit. Believe in the protection of the God, consider before implementation. Happiness would soon come.
A stone of passion, carnelian was attached to the lot. It would bring triumph to your business and sports, they say.
After 40 Wks
StandardMei-Shun met Dr. A for the first time this year. Your “no problem” comment always gives a great relief, thank you so much. Today, Mei-Shun asked question regarding her allergic symptoms. Dr. A answered it is a bit out of the category she majors in. That means Mei-Shun’s disease had not been related to allergy. Another sigh of relief.

StandardMany of us enjoy 七草粥 (=nanakusa-gayu) today. 5 kinds of wild, edible leaves and 2 vegetables are cooked in rice porridge. This simple dish is gentle for our tired stomachs after feasts of new-year celebration.
First Lesson
StandardMei-Shun’s 2016 performance would be 汐汲: Shio-Kumi. She is so excited with the work, one of her most admired. Actually, she had planned to play a role of young guy after a lady of narcissus. However, Master Mei-Shu recommended her to do it because the younger a performer is, the better for roles of beautiful ladies.
Prefer Red
StandardThese are my beds. Pink one is recent Christmas gift from mom, but I prefer another. While she left me alone for a month last year, I always stayed in it — it has her scent. Now she asks me to use new one, putting it in my cage at night. Well, I’ll use it if I want to. Don’t force me to do anything. How to tell her so?
Better Rider?
StandardIt has taken 2 weeks for Mei-Shun to come back to horses: a slight cold prevented her from attending lessons. Her current class is for beginners, called “Basic B”. Today Ms. I, Mei-Shun’s favorite instructor, recommended her to go up to “Basic A”. That means she would make a small graduation soon. Thanks to carrots, she wonders.
