Mikan-chan has two watering places; one is a plastic bowl set in her cage, the other is an automatic fountain. The latter has a tank behind, yet the user is better to know time for cleaning. When she tried and walk away, mom has to clean it even if the tank is not empty.
Winter Returned
StandardPartial solar eclipse was never seen. Temperature plunged by 10 degrees Celsius. Heavy rain followed cold wind blowing from the north. We might know this happens via weather forecast, still feel a chill in mind as well as in body.
Thrilling Drive
StandardFog might cover throughout the Japanese Archipelago this morning. It was adventurous to drive in such a circumstance. Today is the last of lunar January, with 啓蟄 (=keichitsu, the third of 24 seasonal terms meaning the day animals come out of hibernation) on Saturday, and the temperature reached 20 degrees Celsius in the afternoon. Oh, little dandelion, it is too soon for you to bloom, isn’t it?
Good Guys
StandardMs. I, Mei-Shun’s favorite instructor in horseback riding, gave a phone call. Yes, she misses you and lovely horses so much so far — the red eye has prevented her from attending the classes. Now that it’s 95% healed, she hopes to see them on coming Friday.
Hope It Works
StandardMei-Shun’s left eye has 90% healed. A red spot is still above the iris, yet seems to have no problem with glasses. She looks forward to taking lessons of Japanese dance and horseback riding next week. During a whole week of stay-at-home, she made a slight effort to lose a piece of tyre around the waist.
Contrary Couple
StandardPiano Protection
StandardMei-Shun’s last piano instructor Ms. S will play at a concert held in April by TIAA (Tokyo International Association of Artists). Hearing that they would award her as a talented composer on the stage, Mei-Shun felt so happy. However, Ms. S gave a shocking news today that her younger son had been injured in an accident, followed by a relieving one that his brain had no problem.
Happy Home
StandardMei-Shun planned to apply for her passport renewal on coming March 3. It seemed nice to make the date of issue set on one of her happiest ones. However, she has to cancel that procedure since her left eye would take longer than 3 days to heal. Another candidate is March 23 when Mikan-chan exulted seeing her mom again after 4-week wait last year.
Seems Special
StandardOnly once every 4 years we can post on February 29. And it is today that Mei-Shun first found 子, 辰 and 申 symbols represent leap years. It seems somehow lucky to have one more day in these particular years.
