It took two weeks for the ceramic tooth to be planted into Mei-Shun’s mouth. Her dental clinic has two rooms for treatment; one is full of that scary chairs with silver apparatuses and compound-eyed lights, the other looks like a beauty salon to serve relaxation for patients. This time, they guided her into the latter, for a simple attachment and — thanks to the amount she paid maybe.
Japanese Culture@holiday
Standard邦楽発表会 has been held one day before today so far. That gave us good convenience, since many of Mei-Shun’s friends interested in Japanese dance live around Tokyo. However, it was delayed toward 15th, Sunday this year. Our public holidays set in November do not apply to Happy Monday System, fixed on 3rd for Culture Day while 23rd for Labor Thanksgiving Day. We wonder why; the former accommodates a number of cultural events throughout Japan. Won’t you wish a national holiday followed?

StandardHi, honey. You feel cold today? Mom does too. Mikan-chan comes into mom’s blanket. That means it is winter-like today. When they take a nap together, she prefers to stay between mom’s legs, covered by a towel blanket in summer. As it gets cooler, she replaces the towel with a wool one, to reach their favorite futon finally in winter.

StandardIt was so shocking for Mei-Shun to see her favorite tea shop closed last year, yet recent finding that they have another branch in Tsukuba made her delighted. As season recommendation, a cup of twig green tea called karigane, meaning song of flying wild geese, was served. Twigs pruned from tea plants are mixed with leaves, giving a bit bitter and refreshing flavor.
Knee Pain
StandardMei-Shun has felt something weird in her right knee from last week. Ah, her 6-day-a-week practice before stage performance had been too hard, it seemed. Her mother also has a trouble in knees, yet it simply caused by aging. She advised her daughter to see a doctor first. After making sure of no disease, she recommended a muscle training to reduce burden on knees. Yes, mom. Respectfully persuasive suggestion.
Twin Kittens
StandardProfessor M, University of Tsukuba, is a cat fancier. Since his beloved Chonko-chan passed away, a violet girl called Mikeko-chan started to visit the Ms. They took her as a messenger from Chonko-chan, and recently accepted her children at home. Hello, Blanc-chan and Coo-chan.
Hard or Soft
StandardWhich fruits do you prefer? Mei-Shun does the former while Shin the latter for persimmon, apple, banana, etc. They are all good for morning salad, adding cucumber in one-bite cut. Hot tea, milk and this would make your day energetic.

StandardYes, here is another shy girl. She surprised Mei-Shun who was taking photo of yellow leaves in this cymbidium pot. They give a unique contrast with flower bud sisters, don’t they? Named “Yellow Card”, sounds a bit dangerous, yet means one of her owner’s favorite colors to put on.

StandardTora-chan is getting fluffy little by little these days. We see the great nature in her; she knows well that she has to stay outdoors, eats more to change her coat into winter version. Really a good girl you are.
